Picture It: Exploring Illustration and Picture Books!

Illustrator and author Stephanie Przybylek will present a program and activity to each of five kindergarten classes exploring creating her picture books related to nature and wildlife of Delmarva. Program includes original artwork, sharing of the author’s picture book process, hands-on objects to explore and a drawing exercise with each student having a chance to create and then share an illustration of their own. Stephanie makes a point to circulate around the classroom and give some personal time to each student during the drawing exercise.

I'll be very busy these two days, but it's a lot of fun and a very engaging experience.

Stay tuned for more information about where I'll be in 2018. And remember to go outside and play (when the weather permits, that is)!

Stay tuned for more information and new creature creations...

Inspiring Interest in Art and Nature
Following a presentation to a 5th grade class at Brandywine Springs Elementary School this past spring, I received a wonderful group of thank you notes. All were spectacularly illustrated with pictures of animals and ecosystems (which had been part of my program's theme). You never know what impact you may have on others and I thank these kids for their interest!
